We had the absolute best experience hosting our rehearsal dinner at Bon Vie. From start to finish, their team went above and beyond to make the evening feel special and seamless. They created a custom menu just for us, and every dish was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care they put into our event did not go unnoticed. Our guests are still talking about how incredible the food and atmosphere were! Had a wonderful experience here. The food was amazing, from the bread for the table to the halibut I ordered and to the dessert. Our waitress, Alyssa, was great as well, very attentive and engaging. She was nice enough to even take a picture of the sunset for my mother. Everyone in our group throughly enjoyed themselves. Overall, it was a pleasure dining here.
Hands down best Chicken Marsala I've ever had! This place is a gem. The staff were friendly and warm and the perfect amount of attentive. I hate feeling rushed at a restaurant to make a decision and our server Rachel was more than paitient with me and very kind. The atmosphere was super cozy! Cucumbers martini was delicious and my date's Pork Chop was juicy and flavorful. Absolutely delicious experience! Will be back.
Perfect night at Bon Vie 🍸 The bacon balsamic pork chop was incredible, Jen’s ahi tuna was spot on, and our daughter and her boyfriend loved their gnocchi. Great cocktails too — especially the cucumber martini (served in the right glass… if you know, you know 😂).
Went here for a nice family dinner with our two young daughters and can’t recommend this place enough! The food was absolutely amazing, dare I say Michelin quality, and very unique takes on classic foods. They treat you like family and are so kind with kids. Will definitely be coming back very soon!
Loved this little gem on the water! We had a lovely evening on the deck watching the birds and fish. Our server was very nice to our hangry 4 year old. The pumpkin salad and stuffed mushroom appetizer was delicious! My martini with stuffed olives was great. We highly recommend!
"Bon Vie, where have you been all my life or at least for the past three years?!" My friend and I were fortunate enough to enjoy this beautiful treasure nestled high above Lake George in Hobart, Indiana on June 4th for the very first time. Don't be fooled by it's appearance. It may be elegant, but it is far from stuffy. This farm to table restaurant gem is housed in a gorgeous Victorian home, impeccably appointed in each and every room, I might add and, with visual delights in abundance all throughout it. After a tremendously warm welcome from the Chef Owner and the Staff, I got busy snapping photos, as usual, while my friend was whisked away to our table strategically located on the deck with outstanding vistas of Lake George! We ordered drinks and began perusing the weekly menu. After much deliberation, we decided upon the Asian inspired Flatbread with strips of Filet and assorted vegetables, a fabulous salad that was as unique as it was delicious and a Lobster Cake that was as beautiful as it was flavorful! Our heartfelt thanks to the Chef for this unforgettable dinner! Our lovely Server, Janelle, was also a highlight of our evening with her impeccable service, knowledge and delightful demeanor. Thank you, Janelle! Also, thank you for twisting our arms to have that truly decadent Chocolate Cheesecake plus that was out of this world delicious! I would like to highly recommend "Bon Vie" for your next dining destination. It is a truly unique dining experience in an exquisite setting. I don't think it gets any better than this!
Wow! What an incredible experience at Bon Vie. We came for their New Years Eve menu. Absolutely delicious. The building is so cozy, small, but even on a busy night like NYE I couldn’t tell by the service or staff if they were stressed. They were so good under the pressure of the evening. Our service was smooth and never felt rushed. Most of our dinner conversation was spent talking about how good the appetizer, entree and dessert were. Definitely coming back every NYE and special occasion as we are Hobart locals.

And the service? Absolutely top-notch. Our waitress was amazing — friendly, attentive, and somehow managed to make the whole experience feel even more welcoming. Between the historic charm, the cozy homey atmosphere, incredible food, and wonderful service, Bon Vie is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit.
